   MUSCATINE, Iowa – Nikki Lynn Taylor, 56, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, following a short illness.  
   Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home.  Honorary bearers will be Tammy Thurston, Rachel Creamer, Abby White, Minerva McCabe, Tammy Giese, and Bobby Giese.  A light luncheon will be held at Gannon Hall following the service at the funeral home before going to Bethel Cemetery for the committal. Burial will take place in Bethel Cemetery, rural Wapello.  As per her wishes, she will be cremated.  
   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the family in care of Robert. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at the funeral home.  
   Nikki was born on July 10, 1954, in Davenport, the daughter of Fay Dean and Evelyn Deihl Jackson.
   She was a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and followed her passion as a nurse for 35 years.
   She was a member of the Iowa Wesleyan College Alumni Association, the Iowa Nursing Association and the National Nursing Association.
   She married Robert “Tobe” Taylor on February 3, 1994, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
   She enjoyed camping, and traveling with her husband to her favorite Caribbean Islands, especially Jamaica.  She especially enjoyed her trip with “THE GROUP”.  She will be fondly remembered by her many friends and colleagues, and will be deeply missed by her husband and family.
   Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Robert Taylor of Muscatine; three sons, Zachary Leonhard of Muscatine, Lucas Leonhard of Muscatine, and Ben Taylor and wife, Misty, of Des Moines; two daughters, Jennifer Kopf of Muscatine, and Andrea Taylor of Muscatine; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Deanna Kerr of Toolesboro; and one nephew, Shawn Kerr of Toolesboro.
  She was preceded in death by her parents.
